Excursions

Each of our centres are conveniently located, making trips into London and other major UK cities a trouble-free experience.

There are two full day excursions each week. A trip to London may include: Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, Buckingham Palace, The National Gallery, The Tower of London, Covent Garden Market, or The Science Museum.

The weekly London trip offers students a range of options, combining a morning’s cultural/historical visit with an afternoon’s shopping and sightseeing. All travel costs and entry fees are included and a packed lunch is provided.

Trips beyond London may include Brighton, Oxford, Leeds Castle or Chessington World of Adventures.

Brighton is always a popular visit. Londoners have been travelling there for beach retreats ever since a railway was added nearly two centuries ago. As well as the typical English seaside, students can enjoy the history of the lavish Royal Pavilion and have some fun in the amusement arcades.

The ancient University of Oxford provides another memorable excursion, with a college tour and perhaps a chance to have a go at punting on the river. Cambridge is another trip destination and also home to prestigious University, ranked as one of the top five universities in the year.

Leeds Castle, known as “The Loveliest Castle in the World”, allows students to uncover almost 900 years of fascinating history and explore 500 acres of stunning parklands and gardens. Students can enjoy awe-inspiring falconry displays, the maze and grotto and the adventure playgrounds.

We hope that students will be inspired by the many beautiful museums and art galleries as they admire the stunning architecture and majestic buildings around the country. As well as historical and educational trips, theme parks such as Thorpe Park offer thrilling daytrips.
