Soccer and English courses (boys only, aged 9-14)

Learning to Play the United Way

An exciting new development last summer was the Our World Soccer and English programme run in association with Manchester United Soccer Schools and combining mornings and evenings of soccer coaching with afternoons of English tuition. The course is a fixed two-week programme and is open to boys only, aged 9-14. It is divided by age such that the age range within soccer classes is never more than two years.

A qualified physiotherapist will be available at all times during soccer coaching and matches.

In addition to the Soccer and English component, there are also twice-weekly excursions including Wembley Stadium in London, nearby Brighton by the sea, and an overnight trip to the Old Trafford stadium, home of Manchester United football club.

Overnight Trip to Manchester United’s Old Trafford Stadium

Caterham School is located just minutes from the M25 motorway so the journey to Manchester by coach takes just four and a half hours, with a break for lunch on the way. Students are accompanied by their teachers and welfare staff on their overnight trip to visit the Old Trafford Stadium, home of Manchester United Football Club, with accommodation in a nearby hotel. The excursion takes place towards the end of the two week course and the awards ceremony and presentation provide a fitting climax. There is a visit to London on the return journey including Wembley Stadium.

The course fee includes a full Manchester United Soccer Schools kit plus goody bag.

Caterham is about an hour’s drive from Central London, an hour from Heathrow Airport and about 20 minutes’ drive from Gatwick. Screened by woodland, Caterham School’s 80 acre campus sits at the head of a beautiful valley which winds up from the town to the ancient North Downs Way.
